It is an enjoyable, lightly smoky whisky. The nose failed to deliver but the palate really came through. With water, the smoke is more apparent.įinal Thoughts: Its bold flavors caught me off guard, probably because this dram was poured half way through the bottle, allowing the whisky to develop just a bit. The finish remains long enough to catch these notes but not much longer. Fruity notes linger long after the smoke does. With water, the flavors have definitely been muted and nothing seems to have replaced them.įinish: Very slight fruity smoke.
